Head-to-head
Kalodata vs FastMoss for TikTok Shop research
Both tools estimate what sells on TikTok Shop. Kalodata goes deeper on product and shop history, FastMoss wider into creators, ads and markets. Here is how to choose between them, plan limits first.
The short answer
Pick Kalodata if you choose products from sales history and want revenue estimates that hold up; pick FastMoss if you want creator emails, ad creatives and LIVE data in the same account as your product research.
| Tool | Job | Free trial | Best for | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Kalodata | Product research | 7 days, no card | deep sales history | Not listed |
| 3. FastMoss | Product research | 7 days, no card | creator contacts and ads | Not listed |
The short version
Kalodata and FastMoss answer the same first question (what is selling on TikTok Shop right now) and part ways on the second. Kalodata keeps a longer sales history and its revenue estimates are the ones reviewers trust more. FastMoss adds creator contact details, an ad creative library, LIVE monitoring and AI script tools, and covers 20+ markets.
| What you compare | Kalodata | FastMoss |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | 7 days, no card | 7 days, no card, no auto-renewal |
| History | 1,000 days (homepage) | 28 to 180 days by plan |
| Creator contact details | Creator rankings, no bulk contacts listed | 5 to 300 a day by plan, exportable |
| Ad creative library | Video and Ad section | Ads section |
| LIVE data | Livestream section | LIVE section plus LIVE monitor credits |
| API | Listed in the main menu | Enterprise plan |
| Affiliate program on its site | None found | Yes |
Data you can act on
Both tools estimate sales from what is public on TikTok. Reviewers who put them side by side describe the same pattern: FastMoss spots a rising product sooner, and Kalodata's revenue figures land closer to reality. One independent test called FastMoss's GMV estimates directionally correct and found them optimistic on average. For a product decision that means stock money, that difference matters more than any feature list.
History is the other half. Kalodata's homepage lists 1,000 days of data. FastMoss's plans run from 28 days on the entry tier to 180 days on flexible dates at the top. If your category is seasonal (gifts, outdoor, back to school), a single year of history can mislead you, and Kalodata shows two.
Creators, ads and LIVE
FastMoss's menu is built around five jobs: products, competitor shops, creators, LIVEs and ads. The creator side is the practical difference. Every plan shows creator contact details, and higher plans export up to 3,000 records at a time, so research turns into an outreach list without a second tool. Kalodata ranks creators by sales and links to their videos, but it is not set up to hand you a contact list.
FastMoss also adds AI video transcription and script rewriting, useful when you brief creators with a script modelled on a video that sold.
Markets
FastMoss says it covers 20+ countries and regions. That helps UK and EU sellers, since the EU TikTok Shop markets are newer and some tools cover them thinly. Check your own market in each trial: search a product you know sells there and see whether both tools find it.
Price and limits
Neither tool lists plan prices as plain text on a page we can quote. FastMoss shows them in its checkout across Basic, Pro and Team, billed monthly, twice a year or yearly. Kalodata's homepage leads with its trial. What decides the plan is the limit you hit first, and on FastMoss that is usually detail page views (150 a day on entry plans, 500 higher up). Run a normal research day in each trial and note which wall you hit.
Who should pick which
A reseller testing new products every month, or a brand sizing a category before a factory order, should start with Kalodata. A small brand that does its own outreach and wants products, creators and ads in one tab should start with FastMoss. Agencies often keep both: Kalodata for the product case in a pitch, FastMoss for the creator list.
My pick
For most sellers choosing one, I would start with Kalodata, because the product decision costs the most when it is wrong and its numbers hold up better there. Switch to FastMoss when your bottleneck moves from what to sell to who will sell it. Both trials are free and need no card, so run them in the same week on the same five products and compare.
Kalodata: what holds up and what does not
What works
- Covers products, shops, creators, videos, ads and livestreams in one account
- Homepage lists 1,000 days of historical data, long enough to see a product's seasonal pattern
- 7-day free trial with no card on the vendor's homepage
- An API for teams that want the data in their own sheets or BI tools
What to watch
- Screens carry a lot of data at once, and newer sellers describe the interface as clumsy at first
- Small Trustpilot sample with billing among the complaints, so cancel inside the trial if it is not for you
- No affiliate or creator outreach automation: you find creators here and contact them elsewhere
FastMoss: what holds up and what does not
What works
- Product, shop, creator, LIVE, video and ad research in one account
- Creator contact details on every plan, up to 300 a day on higher tiers
- 7-day free trial with no card and no auto-renewal
- Covers 20+ countries and regions, useful for UK and EU sellers
- Free Chrome extension and AI tools for transcribing and rewriting video scripts
What to watch
- GMV estimates run high: one independent test found them optimistic, so use them to rank products against each other rather than as forecasts
- Entry tiers cap search lists at the top 300 records and detail views at 150 a day
- Plan prices appear in the checkout rather than on the pricing page itself
Where I would start
Kalodata
Kalodata is the pick if you choose products from sales history and want the longest view of what a product, shop or creator has sold.
